As a persona of Janko Bartelink, 'Hadamard' is part Existentialist, part Scientist, part Studio Gangster. This last part of the character is especially apparent in releases like the "Love Songs" album on Miami based Transient Force Records, "The Ass in Bass" EP on Jena, Germany based label Solar One Music and on the namesake release the "Studio Gangster" EP on Glasgow based Mighty Robot Recordings. Part tongue in cheek gangster rap parody, part hommage to hiphop culture, part undiluted Ghetto Tech in the vein of DJ Assault and DJ Deeon, The Studio Gangster drops bass, spouts dirt and is a fan-favourite of Hadamard's catalog.

"Hadamard's world is far removed from the gangster spheres where stretch limos and crates of Cristal are the norm. Instead, the Dutch producer documents the thrills and spills of living in Appledoorn, and all the risks and dangers that go with it." (Resident Advisor)
"Studio gangster" is a term that is often used colloquially to describe someone, typically in the music industry, who portrays themselves as tough, streetwise, or involved in criminal activities through their lyrics or public persona, but may not actually have a real-life background matching those claims. Essentially, it implies that the person is projecting a tough image for the sake of their art or public image, rather than authentically living the lifestyle they depict. It's a form of criticism or skepticism about the genuineness of an individual's claimed street credibility.
