Some projects just completely absorb you.

Yesterday was one of those days. I was building an end-to-end automation: from a daily voice memo on my research activity to a biweekly automated email with a summary of the work done, a critical reflection on the process and suggestions for next steps. A complex chain with many moving parts.

For hours, I was in that tunnel of deep concentration. A state of flow where everything seems to click and you lose all track of time. The debugging was challenging, but every solved bug provided a new burst of energy. Until, suddenly, it was gone. By the end of the day, I felt the limit of my cognitive load. The tank was empty, my head felt foggy. 🧠

A good reminder that flow is a powerful engine, but not an inexhaustible one. So today is for a deliberate step back: walking and reading. We’ll pick it up again tomorrow.
